Valentine’s weekend has arrived, and somehow it is doing the absolute most. Dinner and dances, galas, luncheons, trivia, skating, bowling, karaoke, playoff hockey, strongmen, high tea, puppy yoga. It’s like February looked at us and said, “You’re not hibernating this year.”
Whether you’re celebrating love, friendship, family, or just the fact that you made it through January, there is no shortage of ways to get out of the house. Fancy or casual. Loud or cozy. Competitive or carb-based. It’s all happening.
So make a plan. Or three. Grab your people, grab a coat, and let’s make this weekend more memorable than whatever you had originally pencilled in.

Caledonia
There’s an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner at Caledonia Lions Hall on Saturday, 4-7. Go hungry, leave heroic, and pretend the extra garlic bread was “for the table.”
Karaoke night at Hammer Hogs is Friday. Pick a song, commit fully, and remember nobody wins karaoke, we just survive it together.
The Corvairs are home twice this weekend. Ayr visits Saturday at 7:30, then St. Catharines Monday at 2:30. Two chances to cheer loudly and lose your voice.
Gary Rothwell plays live at Hammer Hogs Saturday 8:30-12:30. Great tunes, cold drinks, and a strong chance you stay longer than planned.
Caledonia Arena has adult shinny and beginner skate this morning, plus public skating Saturday at 1:30. Monday adds Family Day public skate 5:30–7:30.
The Friends & Flicks Valentine’s Movie Night runs Saturday from 5-9 at Inclusions. Cozy vibes, big screen, and a reason to eat popcorn like it’s a sport. Everyone welcome.
Cypress 55+ has Tabata and line dancing today. One class makes you sweat, the other makes you smile, and both beat staring at the weather.
Trivia is Monday at Hammer Hogs. Bring your smartest friend and your dumbest confidence. Both are equally important.

Galentine’s High Tea is today at Shelly’s in Kohler with sittings at 11 and noon. Reservations required. Bring your besties and your best gossip.
The Gilded Hearts High Tea is tonight at 6 at Ruthven Park. Then Saturday to Monday brings Family Day activities by donation. Fancy tea, then wholesome chaos.
Cayuga Arena has beginner skate Saturday at 1, public skate Sunday at 1, plus a Family Day skate Monday from 12-2. Bring mitts and balance.
Card Bingo at the Cayuga Legion is Saturday at 1:30. Same thrill as bingo, plus the sweet sound of someone yelling, “I was one card away.”
 | Dunnville AreosFamily Day plans? Sorted. The Dunnville Aeros host Game 4 against the Elora Rocks this Monday at 2:30 at the Dunnville Arena. Kids 13 and under get in free, there’s a massive Chuck-a-Puck prize pack, a second intermission U7 scrimmage, $10 kids tees, and giveaways all game long. Loud rink. Playoff hockey. Zero chance anyone says “I’m bored.” |

The Family Day Winter Carnival hits the Dunnville Optimist Club Monday from 12:30-3:30 at 101 Main St E. Bring the kids and your inner one.
Karaoke is Sunday at 3 at the Mudcat. Daytime singing is bold, and we respect it. Pick a classic and commit.
The Acoustic Rooster plays tonight from 8-11 at New Amsterdam. Great tunes, easy vibes, and a solid excuse to stay out.
DJ Kev starts at 8 Saturday night at Mudcat Bowling and Entertainment. Dance, bowl, or just stand near the music like it counts.
Julia’s Old Fashioned Christmas Charity celebrates its grand reopening with a ribbon cutting Saturday at 9:30. Come support a good cause and pretend you didn’t tear up a little.
Family Volleyball is Thursday, Feb 6, from 7-8:30 at Dunnville Secondary School. Grades 6+ and grownups welcome. No pressure, just rallies and friendly chaos.
Community Living Haldimand’s Disney Love Story Dance is tonight from 6-9 at the Optimist Hall. Dress up, dance big, and pretend you’re the main character.
Mahjongg is today from 1-3 at the library. All levels welcome. Confidence is optional, snacks are recommended.
Bingo is Saturday from 1-3 at the Dunnville Legion, then TV Bingo goes Monday at 7. Bring your dabber, your focus face, and celebrate every near miss like drama.
The Dunnville Arena has open figure skating today at 4, public skating Sunday at 2, and Family Day skating Monday from 9-11. Stretch first, fall later.
