Good Morning, Haldimand County!
Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Weekend
Mother’s Day weekend has officially taken over the calendar… and it didn’t come quietly.
If you’re still figuring out plans, you’ve got options. A lot of them. Markets, plant sales, teas, workshops, and enough “I should probably bring Mom to this” moments to fill the entire weekend without repeating yourself once.
This is also one of those weekends where you can knock out a bunch of things in one shot. Grab something thoughtful, eat something good, maybe even pretend you planned it all ahead of time. Whether you’re building a custom planter, browsing vendor markets, or sitting down for tea like a civilized person, there’s no shortage of ways to show up prepared.
Beyond the Mother’s Day circuit, the rest of the weekend doesn’t slow down. Live music is everywhere, karaoke is ready to test your confidence, and there’s a healthy mix of low-key daytime stuff and louder nighttime plans. You can keep it relaxed… or not.
Markets are back, events are stacked, and people are finally out and doing things again. It feels like the season actually started this week.
And sitting right alongside all of it, the usual reminders. Support local where you can. Show up. Say hi. Buy something you didn’t plan to. It all adds up.
Whatever your version of the weekend looks like, you won’t have to try very hard to fill it.
