Good Morning Haldimand County
Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Week
If your calendar is looking suspiciously empty this week, Haldimand County has plenty of ways to fix that. Between farmers’ markets, classic cars, cards, corn, karaoke and the possibility of becoming $23,000 richer, there’s a surprising amount happening before we even get to the weekend.
Dunnville is particularly busy. The Farmers Market is open today, the Youth Impact Centre has a free Family Brunch this morning and its Back to School Supply Bash Tuesday night. Wednesday brings the Readers Club, Senior Bingo, Fresh Start and another shot at the Dunnville Legion’s Catch the Ace jackpot, which is expected to be nearly $23,000. Suddenly buying a ticket feels a little more exciting.
Over in Hagersville, you can hit the Farmers Market Wednesday morning, Bike Night at Plank Rd. that evening, or test your friendships at Muck’s euchre tournament. There’s also karaoke at Main 88 Tuesday night, which means someone you know is probably about to discover they have absolutely no business singing Shania Twain in public.
Caledonia has its Farmers’ Market Thursday, Cool & Classic Car Night at Scoops Wednesday, a free community meal and plenty happening at the Legion and Cypres 55+. Cayuga has euchre, darts, open car lapping at Toronto Motorsports Park and Community Living Haldimand’s Family & Friends Dinner and Corn Roast.
Fisherville has cornhole Wednesday and Seniors Hoss Thursday, while classic cars roll into Three Seasons Ice Cream Parlour. Cottonwood Mansion is also offering tours Wednesday and Friday morning.
And in Jarvis and Townsend, there’s trivia at Concession Road Brewing and Cruise Night at the Ballpark Pavilion.
Basically, you can spend the next few days eating corn, throwing darts, admiring cars, buying vegetables, playing cards and belting out questionable karaoke.
That seems like a perfectly reasonable week in Haldimand County.
