Good Morning, Haldimand County!
Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Weekend
Summer is hitting its stride, and if your calendar still has a few blank spaces this weekend, we have plenty of ideas to fill them.
This is one of the busiest weekends of the season across Haldimand County. The Cayuga Summer Festival returns with a full day of free family fun, Toronto Motorsports Park is roaring with racing action, Prospect Fighting Championships brings MMA to Caledonia, and community groups are hosting everything from bake sales and charity fundraisers to concerts in the park and farmers' markets.
This weekend also marks an important milestone as the Royal Canadian Legion celebrates its 100th anniversary in Canada. Legion branches throughout Haldimand are hosting special events, open houses, live entertainment, BBQs, and anniversary celebrations. If it's been a while since you've visited your local branch, this is the perfect opportunity to stop in, meet the volunteers, and thank them for everything they do for veterans and our communities. You might even consider becoming a member. As part of the centennial celebration, Legion memberships are free throughout 2026.
Looking for something a little quieter? Browse a town-wide yard sale in Cayuga, enjoy live music by the lake in Peacock Point, create a lavender wreath at Purple Haven, or spend a relaxing morning with coffee and classic cars. There are also plenty of activities for kids, families, and anyone who simply wants to enjoy a summer day close to home.
As always, if you're organizing a public event, we'd love to help spread the word. Adding your event to the Haldimand County Pulse calendar is completely free and helps thousands of local residents discover what's happening across the county every week.
Now grab your calendar, call a few friends, and start making weekend plans. There's a lot happening, and summer has a way of passing faster than we'd like.
