Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Week
Summer doesn't exactly slow down around here, does it?
This week's calendar is packed with everything from farmers' markets and cruise nights to lawn bowling, yoga in the lavender, euchre, darts, bingo, and enough classic cars to make you wonder if half the county has something shiny tucked away in the garage. Whether you're looking for a quiet afternoon, a family outing, or an excuse to get out of the house for a couple of hours, there's plenty happening over the next few days.
A few highlights worth circling include the Hagersville Farmers' Market on Wednesday morning, the Dunnville Farmers' Market this afternoon, Cool & Classic Car Night at the Caledonia Fairgrounds, and the always popular Cruise Night at Three Seasons Ice Cream Parlour in Fisherville. If you're feeling competitive, there are trivia nights, cornhole, HOSS, darts, lawn bowling, and more card games than you can shuffle a deck at.
Looking ahead, don't forget to grab your tickets for the Dunnville Legion's Catch the Ace draw, where the jackpot has climbed past $15,000. If luck isn't your thing, maybe horsepower is. Toronto Motorsports Park is giving people the chance to experience drag racing firsthand on Wednesday, and that's about as different from yoga in a lavender field as two events can possibly be.

Take your best shot at darts night at the Caledonia Legion on Thursday at 7 p.m. Fortunately, the wall usually catches the ones that miss.
Dirty Bingo returns to Hammer Hogs on Thursday from 8 to 10 p.m. It's bingo... just with a sense of humour that probably wouldn't impress your grandmother.
The Caledonia Farmers' Market is open Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. Stock up on fresh local food and support the people who grew it.
Cool & Classic Car Night cruises into Scoops Diner at the Caledonia Fairgrounds on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Come for the cars, stay for the ice cream, and argue about which decade had the best designs.
The Caledonia Legion hosts euchre on Thursday at both 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Twice the cards, twice the excuses for getting euchred.
Cypress 55+ has added shuffleboard to its Thursday afternoon lineup. It's never too late to discover you're surprisingly competitive with a stick and a puck.

Ever wondered what it's like to launch down a drag strip? Toronto Motorsports Park is offering a drag racing experience on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Just remember, the speed limit doesn't apply here.
The Cayuga Legion hosts euchre on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Whether you're a card shark or still learning what trump means, there's always a seat at the table.
