Good Morning, Haldimand County!

Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Weekend

As June winds down, this weekend feels a little different. The calendar isn't quite as packed as it has been over the past few weeks, and that's probably because everyone is looking ahead to Canada Day celebrations on Wednesday. Crews are setting up, volunteers are making last-minute plans, and lawn chairs across Haldimand are preparing for another busy week.

That doesn't mean there's nothing to do. Far from it. There are still plenty of opportunities to get out of the house, catch up with friends, enjoy some live music, browse a market, hunt for a bargain, test your trivia skills, or simply grab a bite to eat somewhere local. Sometimes the quieter weekends are the best ones. Parking is easier, lineups are shorter, and you can actually hear the person sitting across the table from you.

If you're staying close to home, you'll find enough happening around the county to keep the whole family busy without spending half the day in the car. If you're planning to host friends or family for the holiday next week, this weekend is also a great excuse to check a few things off the to-do list before the festivities begin. Or ignore the to-do list completely. We won't tell.

As always, thank you for making Haldimand County Pulse part of your week. Every issue is built to help you discover what's happening across the county while supporting the local businesses, organizations, volunteers, and event organizers who make our communities such great places to call home.

However you spend the weekend, enjoy it, stay safe, and we'll be back Tuesday with everything you need to know before Canada Day arrives.
