Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Week
Something’s shifting this week, and no, it’s not just the weather finally getting its act together.
Across Haldimand County, things are picking up again. Bars are bringing live entertainment back, and suddenly your “quiet night in” has competition. Markets and vendor shows are popping up everywhere, which means you can officially start pretending you’re just browsing… until you’re not.
At the same time, Easter is creeping up, and you can feel it. Soup shares are filling up containers across the county, spaghetti dinners are making their return, and community halls are getting busy again. It’s that stretch where everything starts happening all at once, and somehow it all feels pretty normal.
It’s also the kind of week where you’ll probably hear “are you going to that?” more than once.
Whether you’re heading out for live music, stocking up at a market, or just showing up for a good meal that you didn’t have to cook, there’s no shortage of reasons to get out of the house.
Short version? Haldimand County is wide awake again.

The Caledonia Chamber’s Business Excellence Awards take over the Lions Hall on Wednesday night, celebrating the businesses and people keeping things moving around here.
Cards are on the table Thursday at the Caledonia Legion, with euchre at 2 and 7, plus darts at 7 if you’re feeling a little more competitive.
Green thumbs and curious beginners alike are welcome on Thursday at 7 as the Haldimand Horticultural Society meets at St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
Cypress 55+ is stacked this week with everything from strength and tone to yoga, bingo, crafts, Tai Chi, cooking, and even a book club if you’re feeling productive.
If you’ve been meaning to get crafty, Caledonia Library’s Crafternoon on Tuesday at 1 has you making a bunny wreath just in time for Easter.
Ice time is wide open at the Caledonia Arena this week with skating, shinny, and stick and puck sessions spread across Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
