Good Morning, Haldimand County!

Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Week

The week ahead is packed with farmers markets, live music, community meetups, card nights, fitness programs and enough local events to completely destroy any plan you had to “take it easy this week.” Around here, even a casual trip out for coffee somehow turns into running into six people you know and leaving with plans for three different events.

Community groups across Haldimand are keeping calendars busy with everything from lawn bowling and pickleball to trivia nights, karaoke, craft groups and social clubs. Libraries are once again proving they’re far more than just books, hosting workshops, book clubs and hands-on activities that somehow make adults genuinely excited about decorative fishing signs.

There’s also a strong entertainment lineup this week. You’ll find live music in Dunnville, trivia in Jarvis, comedy at New Amsterdam, concerts in Selkirk and motorcycles filling Plank Road for Bike Night. Meanwhile, TMP is giving locals a chance to legally satisfy their need for speed without ending up in Dunnville Talks.

On the community side, there are several events focused on bringing people together, including charity BBQs, support groups, networking meetups and conversations about the future of local communities. Whether you’re looking to connect, unwind, laugh, compete or just avoid cooking dinner one night, there’s probably something happening nearby.

Thanks, as always, for supporting the local businesses, volunteers, organizations and event organizers who put time and energy into making Haldimand County feel connected. Now scroll down and start making plans before your week fills itself in for you.

The Mattress Man

Custom spaces deserve better than “close enough.” The Mattress Man builds made-to-measure mattresses for RVs, trailers, boats, and hard-to-fit spaces. Skip the big-box workaround and get the exact size you need, built locally. Right now, you’ll save the usual 20% customization fee, so custom doesn’t come with a penalty. Bring your measurements, your odd angles, your weird bunk layout… we’ve seen it all and built for it.
