Good Morning, Haldimand County!
Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Weekend

November has arrived, the clocks have gone back, and we're now living in that wonderful time of year when it's dark before dinner and leaving the house after 5 p.m. feels like a major commitment.
Fortunately, there's plenty happening around Haldimand County this weekend to make that commitment worthwhile.
Christmas markets and craft shows are popping up everywhere, which means it's officially acceptable to start shopping for the holidays. If you're one of those people who already has every gift purchased, wrapped and labelled, congratulations. The rest of us would prefer you keep that information to yourself.
There's also live music, comedy, creative workshops and even a murder mystery on the calendar. Between painting, pottery, karaoke and trivia nights, there are plenty of opportunities to discover a hidden talent. Or confirm that you don't have one. Either way, it gets you out of the house.
This weekend also brings several opportunities to honour Canada's veterans, with Remembrance Day ceremonies, special exhibits and musical tributes taking place across Haldimand. As November 11 approaches, we encourage everyone to take a moment to remember the men and women who served, those who never returned home and the sacrifices made by their families.
Whether you're planning a busy weekend or just looking for one good reason to venture out, you'll find plenty of options in this issue.
And if your only plan is to stay home and enjoy that extra hour of darkness, we won't judge. Much.
