Good Morning, Haldimand County

Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Weekend

October has officially arrived, and Haldimand County appears to have responded by scheduling absolutely everything at once.

This is one of those weekends where choosing what to do may be harder than finding something to do. The Caledonia Fair is back, bringing all the rides, food, entertainment and annual traditions that make it one of the biggest weekends of the fall. Meanwhile, there are vintage cars to admire, race cars to watch, golf to play after dark and even animals lining up for a Sunday blessing.

If your talents are better suited to less athletic pursuits, you can test your trivia knowledge, try curling, make a Highland cow, create a witchy hat, play Card Bingo or grab a microphone and discover whether your friends have been lying to you about your singing voice.

Live music is everywhere this weekend too, with performers popping up in Dunnville, Hagersville, Jarvis and beyond. There’s also plenty of community spirit in this edition, from fundraisers and free meals to grocery giveaways and events supporting local organizations.

And somehow, that’s still not everything. So grab the calendar, start making some decisions and accept the fact that you probably can’t be everywhere at once. Here’s what’s happening around Haldimand County this weekend!
