Good Morning Haldimand County
Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Weekend

Halloween is still a week away, but apparently Haldimand County didn't get the memo. The costumes are coming out, the ghosts are making appearances, and there are enough Halloween parties this weekend to give your costume a proper workout before the big night.
Caledonia is especially busy, with a ghost tour at the fairgrounds, a Halloween bash at Ye Olde Squire, and the Haldimand Rivercats taking everyone back to the '90s for a video dance party. Dig out the old clothes, crank up the nostalgia, and try not to remember what you looked like in 1996.
There's plenty for the younger crowd, too. Jubilee Community Church is hosting a free indoor carnival, Ruthven Park has trick-or-treating and haunted activities, and Community Living Haldimand has a trick-or-treat trail. There are even pumpkin carving opportunities, which means parents can spend the weekend pretending they're not doing most of the work.
If Halloween isn't your thing, don't worry. We've got live music, karaoke, trivia, markets, workshops, racing and hockey. There's also a Repair Café in Dunnville, a textile recycling drive in Caledonia and hazardous waste drop-off in Hagersville. Apparently, this is the weekend to get rid of everything you've been meaning to deal with since spring.
And let's not overlook Chocolate Bar Bingo in Dunnville. Finally, someone has figured out how to make bingo even more appealing.
Whatever your plans, there's no shortage of reasons to get out, have some fun and support the people and organizations making things happen in our communities.
Here's what's happening around Haldimand County this weekend!
