Everywhere

Haldimand County’s Electronics and Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day is September 13 in Dunnville from 9 to noon at the Dunnville Roads Yard, 710 Main Street East. Right across the road, Crime Stoppers hosts a shredding day at Erie Mutual Insurance during the same hours.

Caledonia

Lace up for this year’s Terry Fox Run on Sunday at LaFortune Park in Caledonia. Registration at 9, run at 10. Walk, run, bike or ride 1, 5, or 10 km. Sweat, smiles, and a cause worth every step.

Heads Up! The MTO will be inspecting the Argyle St Bridge Sept 15-17 from 9 am-2:30 pm. The bridge will be closed to vehicles during these hours. Sidewalks will remain open.

The Artisan Nook Pottery Studio is throwing open the doors Saturday, September 13, from 10 to 3 at 17 Argyle St N in Caledonia. Try your hand at making pottery, enjoy live music, and enter a raffle for free drop-in sessions. No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to get a little clay under your nails.

The Caledonia Legion fires up the grill tonight from 5 to 7, then keeps the fun going with live music from Kathy Kotyk. Everyone is welcome.

Parkview Meadows hosts Carnival Day Open House Saturday, September 13, from 10 to 2 at 72 Town Centre Drive. Free admission with bouncy castles, dunk tank, midway, petting zoo, food, bakery, and BBQ. Free parking and bus transportation from Townsend Community Church. Proceeds support Haldimand Norfolk Hospice.

WAMFA hosts its Beef BBQ on September 13 with antique farm equipment and more on display. Dinner is served at 5:30 with sliced roast beef, corn on the cob, baked potato, and pie for dessert.
