Caledonia
Butter & Creme Bakery and Barbecue is hosting a summer BBQ at the Caledonia Legion on August 22 from 12 to 3. Jerk chicken, coconut cornbread, rice and peas, and coleslaw are on the menu. Stay for drinks on the patio and live music with Mark Johnson from 6 to 9 and Shaylyn from 9 to midnight.
St. Paul’s Anglican Church hosts an end-of-summer picnic on Sunday, after the service. Bring a salad or dessert to share and a lawn chair. Hot dogs, corn, and drinks provided.
The Caledonia Charity Car Show rolls into the fairgrounds Saturday from 9 to 3. Shiny chrome, classic rides, and a full day of horsepower for a good cause.
Hammer Hogs is the weekend’s party spot with karaoke tonight, live music Saturday, and trivia Monday. Come ready to sing, dance, and prove you are the smartest in the room.
Leo Nail Lounge hosts karaoke Saturday at 5:30. Grab the mic between manicures and make it a glam singalong.

The Haldimand Bird Observatory is hosting its first-ever Bobolink Bonanza on August 23, with a rain date of August 24. Enjoy a biologist talk, site tour, bird banding, kids’ activities, and a BBQ lunch.
The Cayuga Legion hosts its golf tournament Saturday at Cayuga Golf Club. Registration at 12:30, tee-off at 1:30. Best ball, good times, and support for the Legion.
Ruthven Park hosts its Woolly Bear Caterpillars drop‑in program through Sunday at the historic site. Explore fun facts about Ontario’s fuzzy weather‑forecasting caterpillar, enjoy a photo scavenger hunt, and learn about its life cycle.
Cayuga Heritage Centre hosts Sketch & Sip Saturday from 1 to 3. Unwind, grab a pencil, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of drawing.
