WHAT’S HAPPENING IN HALDIMAND COUNTY THIS WEEKEND

Caledonia

The Caledonia Tim Hortons Camp Day crew is kicking things off early with a trivia night tonight from 7 to 10 at the north side Tims. It’s five bucks to play, and every cent goes toward Camp Day 2026. Entry comes with a drink, free Timbits, and the chance to show off just how much random knowledge you’ve been hoarding.

The Caledonia Legion has BBQ tonight from 5 to 7, with Cam Silver live from 6 to 9, and free pool all day. The grill fires again on Sunday from 6 to 9.

Hammer Hogs is party central this weekend with karaoke tonight, live music Saturday, and trivia Monday. Sing loud, dance harder, and maybe even win bragging rights.

Cypress 55+ has a walking group this morning. They’ll be closed on Monday, so get your steps in today and save the coffee chat for after the long weekend.

Leo Nail Lounge brings karaoke Saturday at 5:30. Come for the nails, stay for the high notes or at least the brave attempts.

Neptune Water is hosting a Customer Appreciation Day today from noon to 2 p.m.

Cayuga

The Cayuga Food Bank hosts its monthly garage sale on Saturday from 9 to 12. Treasure hunt a little and help support a good cause at the same time.

The Ruthven Coach House Café is open August 29 from 11 to 3. Stop in for locally made baked goods and classic drinks after a tour or scenic hike.

Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga hosts the Labour Day Weekend Spectacular August 29 to 31. Three days of roaring engines, burning rubber, and long weekend thrills on the track.

Ruthven Park hosts a Homesteading Drop‑In Program through Sunday, August 31, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Explore historic grounds, hunt for farm animal relics, learn about pickle-making, and make your own naturally dyed friendship bracelet.

Dunnville

Grand Erie Home Hardware is hosting a BBQ this Saturday, from 11-2. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and the legendary bologna on a bun are on the grill, with $10 combos raising funds for a new Bellman luggage cart for Edgewater Gardens.

Karaoke hits Hippo’s in Lowbanks Saturday at 7. Sing your heart out, butcher the classics, and give the lakefront cottages a free concert they never asked for.

Mudcat Bowling has karaoke on Sunday. Strike up a song between frames and see if your voice carries better than your aim.

The Dunnville Legion hosts TV Theme Song Bingo on Friday, August 29 at 6:30. Popcorn’s included, the tunes are familiar, and the patio turns into a dance floor afterwards.

The Dunnville Legion keeps the good times rolling Saturday with bingo starting at 1. Cards, daubers, and a chance to holler “Bingo” before your neighbour does.

The Dunnville Farmers’ Market is open Saturday from 7 to noon. Fresh produce, local finds, and a better start to your weekend than waiting in the grocery line.

The Dunnville Library’s summer book sale ends Saturday. Scoop up cheap reads now or watch someone else leave with the book you didn’t know you needed.

New Amsterdam packs the weekend with live music. Luke Allen plays Friday night, The Earharts take Saturday afternoon, and The Hammer Tones close out Sunday afternoon. Three shows, three reasons to stop in.

Hagersville’s 16th Annual Summer’s End Festival & Cruise In is back to stuff you with free hot dogs and sweet corn before the classic cars steal the spotlight. Add in live music, beer gardens, vendors, and a silent auction, and you’ve got one heck of a goodbye party for summer. Saturday, Aug 30, 9–4, Sgt. Andrew Harnett Memorial Park.

Concession Road Brewing has no music this weekend, but they’re hosting the Ales & Tales book club Sunday at 12:30 and Euchre Night Monday at 7.
