Good Morning Haldimand County!

Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Week

There are two kinds of people in the summer. The first group says, "There's never anything to do around here." The second group opens Haldimand County Pulse, immediately wonders how they're supposed to fit it all into one week, and starts negotiating with their calendar.

This week definitely belongs to the second group.

The county is serving up a little bit of everything. You can browse a farmers' market, admire classic cars, paint something that may or may not deserve a place on your wall, sip tea in the gardens at Ruthven Park, stretch through yoga in a lavender field, or test your luck with a Catch the Ace jackpot that's now topped $17,000. If your idea of a perfect evening involves euchre, darts, trivia, lawn bowling, karaoke, or cornhole, congratulations, your social calendar is officially booked.

There are also plenty of opportunities to learn something new. Creative workshops, networking events, business seminars, book clubs, and community meetings are happening across the county, proving that entertainment doesn't always require a stage or a scoreboard.

Of course, one of the highlights of the week arrives this weekend with Doors Open Haldimand. It's your chance to step inside buildings and landmarks that aren't always open to the public and discover stories hiding in plain sight. We've put together a complete guide to help you plan your visit.

As always, we appreciate everyone who sends us event listings, tips, and community news. Haldimand County Pulse has become what it is because so many people take a minute to let us know what's happening in their corner of the county. Keep those emails and messages coming.

Now grab a coffee, claim a few spots on your calendar before someone else does, and enjoy another busy week in Haldimand County. If anyone asks why you're suddenly impossible to book, just tell them your social secretary is very demanding.
