Good Morning, Haldimand County!
Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Week
If your lawn suddenly looks better than your neighbour's, your hanging baskets are thriving, and you've already eaten something that was grown within 20 kilometres of your house, congratulations. You've officially entered peak Haldimand season.
June has a way of filling up the calendar without asking permission. One minute you're planning to have a quiet week, and the next you're somehow considering four different activities, two community meetings, and a stop for ice cream.
The good news is that there is no shortage of ways to get out of the house this week. Whether you're looking to meet new people, learn something useful, stay active, support a local organization, or simply avoid tackling that project you've been putting off since April, you'll find plenty of options below.
It's also a busy week for residents who want to have a say in the future of our communities. Several local conversations are taking place, offering opportunities to share ideas, ask questions, and help shape what comes next for Haldimand County.
Meanwhile, summer continues to gain momentum. Gardens are growing, strawberries are appearing, patios are filling up, and classic cars are once again emerging from garages after spending eight months hibernating beside snow blowers and half-finished home improvement projects.
As always, we've rounded up what's happening across the county over the next few days.
Take a scroll through, make a plan, and remember: if you attend enough community events, eventually you'll run into everyone you know and at least three people who knew your grandparents.
