Apparently nobody got the memo that September is supposed to be winding down, because this week is packed.

The Caledonia Fair kicks off Thursday, bringing all the food, rides, animals and questionable decisions involving spinning machinery that we’ve been waiting for. Dunnville is busy too, with Orange Shirt Day at the Farmers Market on Wednesday, complete with a drum circle, singing and an Indigenous marketplace.

If winning money is more your speed, Catch the Ace is making the rounds. Dunnville Legion is back at it Wednesday, while Julia’s has tickets available ahead of its first draw Monday night. Special Olympics Bingo also wraps up its season tonight at the Dunnville Optimist Club, so you’ve got one last chance to dramatically yell “BINGO!” in public.

Elsewhere, there’s a turkey supper in Springvale, Dirty Bingo in Caledonia, karaoke in Hagersville, trivia in Jarvis and Binbrook, plus enough euchre, darts and Hoss to keep the card tables and dartboards working overtime.

Prefer something with horsepower? Open car lapping hits Toronto Motorsports Park Wednesday afternoon, Bike Night returns to Plank Road Wednesday evening, and the classics roll into Three Seasons Thursday, weather permitting.

Add farmers markets, lawn bowling, Zumba, live music and a BBQ, and once again the biggest problem isn’t finding something to do. It’s figuring out how many places you can reasonably be at once.

Hammer Hogs has Dirty Bingo tonight from 8 to 10 PM. It’s bingo, but probably not the kind Grandma taught you.

Cypress 55+ has yoga, bingo and Memory Group today, then Tai Chi and Craft/Knit Group Wednesday. They’re making the rest of us look lazy.

Catch the Ace happens Wednesday at 8 PM at Caledonia Legion. Find the right card and Wednesday suddenly gets much more interesting.

Caledonia Legion has euchre Thursday at 2 and 7 PM, plus darts at 7 PM. Apparently Thursday is Legion Olympics.

Caledonia Farmers’ Market is open Thursday from 2 to 7 PM. Your fridge called. It wants something that didn’t come in plastic.

Caledonia Fair starts Thursday. The rides, food, animals and annual realization that you’re no longer built for spinning have arrived.

Zumba takes over Kinsmen Hall Thursday night. Basically a workout disguised as a dance party.
