Here's What's Happening in Haldimand County This Week
April is doing its usual thing. A little rain, a little sun, and just enough unpredictability to keep you second-guessing your outfit every time you leave the house.
But even with the weather bouncing around, things are starting to pick up. The calendar is filling in, more events are popping up, and there are finally some real options when someone asks, “What should we do this week?”
April showers bring May flowers… and in the meantime, they bring a solid excuse to make plans anyway. Around here, you just keep an eye on the forecast and go. Worst case, you get caught in a little rain. Not exactly a tragedy.

Darts are flying at the Caledonia Legion on Thursday at 7 p.m. Aim for the board, not your reputation. Either way, it’s a good time.
Euchre at the Caledonia Legion on Thursday at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Two chances to win, or two chances to blame your partner.
Cypres 55+ is booked and busy this week. Yoga and bingo today, tai chi and crafts Wednesday, then dance fit and yoga Thursday. You’ll be more productive than most of us.
The Community Support Centre’s free community dinner is on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Show up hungry, leave happy, no dishes required.
Haldimand Biz Hive meets on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Revival Coffee. Talk shop, swap ideas, and convince yourself this coffee counts as a business expense.

Haldimand Museums is hosting a Spring Dinner and Trivia Night on Thursday at 5:30 at the Legion. Bring your appetite and that one friend who’s weirdly good at trivia.
Sit to Be Fit is at the Cayuga Senior Centre on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. Low impact, high reward, and a solid excuse to feel accomplished before lunch.
Haldimand County’s 2026 Business Symposium is on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the HCAB, with a focus on using AI in your business. Come curious, leave slightly more informed than everyone else.
Adult pickleball is on Wednesday night at the high school. Register through Caledonia Badminton and prepare to take it way more seriously than you expected.

Fresh Start is on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Free fresh vegetables and good conversation, which is a pretty solid combo.
The Dunnville Horticulture Society’s monthly program night is Thursday, with a focus on planting root vegetables. Come for the tips, stay because you now feel personally invested in carrots.
