ACROSS HALDIMAND COUNTY
Parents, this one’s for you. Local libraries have over 200 board games you can borrow. Free entertainment, fewer screens, and at least 20 minutes of peace.

Caledonia
Saturday night needs a soundtrack. Rockin Around the Christmas Tree hits the Legion at 7:30 with live music from Cam Silver, Amelia James, Mark Johnson, and Red Laforme.
Need to burn off kid energy? Caledonia Arena has free public skating Saturday from 1:30–2:30. Cheap therapy. Helmets encouraged. Patience required.
Cypress 55+ keeps the calendar full. Monday brings a Pound full-body workout and euchre club. Tuesday features Cardio Fit, Yoga, Bingo, and Memory Group. Pick your pace.

Cayuga
Need an excuse to leave the house? Cayuga Legion has league darts on Monday at 7:30. Bring your aim, leave the attitude, and enjoy a night that doesn’t involve batteries or toy noise.
Got a new skater in the house? Cayuga Arena has a free beginner skate Saturday 1–2, plus free public skating Sunday 1–2. Let them wobble it out. You’ll thank us later.
Cards, laughs, and a little friendly chirping. Cayuga Legion hosts euchre on Tuesday at 7:30. Show up solo or with a partner. You’ll be dealt in either way.

Hockey night in Dunnville. The Aeros take on the Tillsonburg Thunder at home Saturday at 8 PM. Loud fans encouraged. Kids can burn energy by cheering.
New Year’s plans still loading? Sandy Acres Park R-Bar has a few tickets left for New Year’s Eve, with Eric Brousseau performing live. Grab yours before they’re gone.
Need a low-stress outing? Dunnville Legion bingo runs Saturday from 1–3. Bring a dabber, bring a friend, and enjoy the thrill of yelling BINGO like it’s an Olympic sport.
Live music fix for today: New Amsterdam has The Acoustic Rooster playing. Show up for the tunes, stay because it beats folding laundry.
Warm up those vocal cords. Mudcat is hosting karaoke on Sunday starting at 3 PM. Drop in for a song, a laugh, or to witness a surprisingly confident rendition of something nobody should sing before dinner. Come early. The brave usually go first.
Free skate and fewer complaints. Dunnville Arena has free public skating on Sunday at 2. Toss the kids on the ice, then treat yourself to a quiet car ride after.
Saturday night at Mudcat, Detour hits the stage at 8. Good music, good vibe, and a reason to put on real pants.
Crafters, makers, and people who just want a calm afternoon: Dunnville Legion Hand Crafts Club is on Monday from 1–3. Bring your project or your curiosity.
